Raquel de Souza (pronounced De-So-ZAH) is a country singer, songwriter from NY. In addition, she is the front woman for NY’s rising country rock band Raquel & The Wildflowers.

Raquel entered the country music scene by releasing her debut single “Run towards the Highway” with a music video. The song won a ReverbNation contest and charted #32 on DRT Top 50 Country AirPlay charts (2018) alongside global country stars such as Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan.

Raquel previously performed with her band Raquel & The Wildflowers at country festivals featuring artists such as Dierks Bentley, Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Granger Smith. Other previous notable performances include opening for multi-platinum artist Andy Grammer, award winning bands, The Ohio State Fair, The Big E Fair, Summer concert series, Festivals, The Cutting Room, The Geneseo Riviera, Casinos, NCL and more. 

Raquel was featured on NY's Country 94.7 FM, Central NY #1 Country station Big Frog, MD Country Station 94.7WDSD, Freedom Park “QuaranTunes” Summer Series and iHeart Radio KISS FM.

Raquel is available for session work both remotely and in studio including singing, song/lyric writing and voice over.

This year Raquel will be releasing her first album as Raquel & The Wildflowers and will be on tour.
